I finished this piece a month or two ago. I’ve found that I gravitate toward brighter colors as the weather warms, but it’s not something that I purposely decide based on the time of the year. I have also noticed that in the winter I tend to use darker colors and the subjects are usually a bit more brooding. When the weather is hot though, the subjects normally have a sunny disposition (pun definitely intended). I guess it all makes sense as I detest cold weather.
